Series Overview
As the world undergoes profound transformation in the 2020 pandemic, documentary impact producers are adapting and adjusting. The digital environment for grassroots community building and social change efforts is hardly new, and yet, the global shutdown provides both constraints and opportunities for learning – particularly given the legacy of physical screening and community events that often anchor strategies for documentaries as activism. This series invites top-level digital and social media strategic communication professionals to share their best knowledge, tips, and tools of their trades and networks with impact producers – the professionals who work with and alongside documentary storytelling to engage publics and stakeholders for social justice and lasting change. This webinar series focuses on virtual spaces, digital and social media strategy and tactics, designed to share expertise from various sectors of strategic communication (movement building, corporate communications and branding) with the documentary community.
